Our slightly bored young guide explains that we shall never see civilization again. Even though it is almost as old as I am, the attention to detail in the Jungle Cruise is amazing. You half believe you are in some exotic location, and not in the middle of Anaheim after you steam up stream for a while. |
Here a statue of what looks like the Indian God Ganesh stands as proof that the Cultural Blender was origianlly developed by men like Walt Disney, who wanted to insure that park visitors would get an experience unlike any they had ever had. |

An Indian tiger prowls among the ruins of an ancient temple. |
Here is a "postcard shot" in the elephant pool. After the tiger growls at unwary explorers, who think they are safe in their little boat, they find themselves surrounded by bathin elephants. |

This is guy is doubly imposing, because he appears on both sides of the river in exactly the same pose. The guide repeats her description of the elephant twice. |
"Almost Gotcha", the lauging elephant might be saying, His spray is controlled so as not to spritz any of the guests. Splash Mountain was built for that purpose. |

Our intrepid guide points out a stunning tableau. |
"Here's something you don't see every day", exclaims the guide upon encountering an ape feeding an alligator. " I do" she complains. "I see this Every day" |
