The Gate to Adventureland promises exotic fun and excitement.	The Tiki Hut is the first attraction I ever visited at the park in 1967. The audio animatronic birds were the first of their kind at Disneyland, sparking a revolution which brought more realistic animals and people with each passing decade


Aladdin holds court in this performance attraction, which I've never seen. But the entrance beakons "Open Sesame."	Adventureland is always crowded, because this is where the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ride is housed. Actually the ride itself is across the street from Disneyland park itself, but the "imagineers" have done a fine job of disguising the fact.


Although the wait for Indiana Jones was prohibitive at over three hours during this extra busy weekend, I just "walked onto" the Jungle Cruise, which, "in my day" in the late sixties was the most popular attraction in Adventureland.	The steamers pull out into the jungle, and the explorers wave their last goodbyes to the last vestiges of civilization onshore.
