"Oh What a Beautiful Morning" Cathy poem

You got home late, cursing fate
Had her on your mind
Bought some beer, to drown your fear
That your love she would never find
Hour passed on hour, cans littered the floor
Smoked some pot & got high
It's all too late, cursing fate
Stumbled around with a sigh

I've been through this all before, my friend
And I know how it'll all end
The opposition's tough, you can't defend
Your eyes are moist, your heart will rend
But face it square and survive.

Wake up early, forget your worries
Open the windows & doors
Clean the apartment, you'll gather enjoyment
As you scrub the walls and floors.
Git rid of trash, git rid of your stash
Turn up the music and smile
Won't be here forever, all in this together
So be happy for a while

I'm going through this all again, my friend
But this time I'm not sure how it'll end
Wishes and poems I will always send
Becuase our lives are like rubber, they can always bend
But no matter what happens-
God grants it that way
We will always survive
And happy I'll stay.
