Child of Light
In darkness, people
Wanting, hoping
Praying, grieving
Love receiving
From the still
Calm late at night,
You shall be a child of light.Tears fall down
The saddened faces
Fear which braces
Pain erases
When you touch
Them, eases fright
Yes, you shall be a child of light. In that dark
Which breeds decay
And chases all their hopes away
You can and will
Through will and might
Conquer all
A Child of LightIn times gone bad
Where sadness threatens
Tears will settle
Cheeks will wetten
You, the candle- here in sight
You shall be my child of light.
