A Love Letter to Emma
This is the last day of my love This is my reackoned heartbeat I sit alone recounting weeks before last It does no help I cry inside My soul is seeping out I've given you all I could I've given you unspotted love Unadorned with clusters of wrong feelings This gift to you I inscribed freely postulating answers in your eyes Dear love, if you wanted to You could hurt not have hurt me more Memories mingle with ragged tears Rivulets of lost emotions Craving remembrance I do remember you You, who made me forget all else Afraid to face reality Whether it was Or wasn't Or is I've lost my care And only you can bring it back
