"The Unrequited Requisition..(To You, because you thought you knew me.)"

I can understand
We thought my life had a plan
And you told me I was through with love.

Then you asked if, on the basis of my horoscope,
I had ever had a meaningful relationship
And I said I had been disappointed in love.

Then you explained that never again would I
fall in love again.
What sport we make of this word "love"
Would you ever know me?
Do you think that just
Because you've read my poetry
You can 'read me like a book'?

You will never know me
Because I have three dimensions-
The same as I will never know you
A horoscope cannot prescribe happiness
Or lonliness
And nobody in the world
Knows wht the other is thinking.
