The Forgot What It Felt Like

I've forgotten what it felt like
Please God let me remember
As a child I dreamed a lot
A few weeks ago I lived those dreams
Now they remain but dreams
Oh God, I've forgotten the way she talked
I don't remember the color of her eyes
I forgot a few weeks ago
Because of someone else
But I'll forget her too
Is love a passing calamity
Enforcing our emotions to shun
Our reality for a few moments?
Or is it more?
God, I wish I could remember.
