Reasons

Affections
Reflecting pasts with mirrors toward the future
Humming forgotten tunes
Meet a nice girl gut don't know what to say
Hi!
Will I ever see you again?

Times erase a lover's last squint
Into the ever closing door of darkness
"Goodbye remember to write huh?"
And they didn't even copy down the address

Passing old men on the streetcorners
While they gaze into repressed expressions
One wonders why the world exists.

My dog barks at a passing car
A door is closing somewhere
Empty glasses are all that remain
of last night's party

Tell me all you can in a minute
Give me your life to cherish.
It isn't just that I feel an
Affection
A direction
We continually betray our love for need
I saw you and wondered what it
would be like if we could be
together.

Can we -
Will we ever -
Is life separated by 45 miles
Is space a door closed on liking someone.

Heartbeats will synchonize
With people across the world we
Don't even know

Millions of individuals are out there
And each is a world of laughter
	And tears and dreams....
and
If I met you on the street I
would wonder what you're like

Give me the chance to find out.
