"You Read Your Lines so Cleverly I Never Missed A Cue"
Little girls wite their classroom love sonnets When the date they had last night Didn't click somehow. He turned the key into the ignition and drove out of her life forever Little girls enter odes to melancholy in their diaries Because that certain guy turned out human And grew desires she couldn't understand Love does not begin at seventeen When breasts are firm And guys grow their first moustache A make-out in the back seat of his V-dub Has nothing to do with what comes From the heart He might be the head of the team And you were his homecoming queen But the mature drive of love Will not stike quite so readily And when it finally does Your heart can tell Like it's never told before.
