"Never Be Again"

If there is a poem in my heart
Let it be yours --
If there is a wine in my words,
Then you may drink your fill.
For in times before when little boys
Wrote profound verses to little girls,
And I would stand beyond the crowds - 
I was lost;
And if times before were now
Then you could be my girlfriend-for-a-week.
Inspiration contains the poetic message
Which sets to work on ethereal ramblings.
And this rambling is for you
In thanks
Because I think you're one of the few
Who understands 
And realizes
Times before will never be again
