Aphrodite ForgottenIf only we'd dreamed those words instead That half-copied syllables in our head Reflecting emotions we'd almost felt But betraying the sensitivity belt The cares we touched with callous skin The lies we whispered swearing truth In retrospect I now remember full Your face betrayed the modd we were in. If only we'd pressed our lives for time Now you'd still have your former name For memories cross, they spill the plain Now some years hence, our love is feign The white way out becomes a grey Diverging roads are tarnished on We could go on or split our bind Still existence wasted, year, month, day. If only we'd realized mistakes Then veiling actions past with lies We'd have proven early senses fakes And dodged this hell By knowing well That in time a weilded passion dies.
