"Lincoln"
Wrote words that lived an eternity--
Told stories that gave us honesty--
Stopped slavery in a country
Where it shouldn't have been in the first place.
Lived a life of truth--
Walked a road of beauty
Marred by ugliness.
A man they named Abraham
After the prophet--
To relive a great life--
Lincoln
Came into the world for a purpose,
And left it soon after he performed it.
Child of America--
Savior of a country--
Lincoln
A man of miracle.
