"The Fireworks Began at Midnight on the Fourth of July"

I woke with a heartfelt yearning,
A feeling of purpose and passion sublime,
A few decades it took to unfold, but the
Reason within me shall rhyme.
A wonderful vast verdant meadow
Which haunts me in dreams through the years,
Can finally fill out in shadow,
And the fount within brings forth fresh tears.

It would be far too early to thank you
For a future fulfilled, without pain
But on this Foutth I celebrate your wonder,
And I won't feel any disdain,
Because I always believed in a muse, dear,
And thoughts of you fill me with elation,
My lone life immersed in your considerable charms,
I'm so glat to be part of the celebration

So as the new day dawns in the country,
And my thoughts of you explode like pure dynamite,
Let the fireworks begin and immerse us,
In the warm glow of light, in the passionate light,
I've a feeling that nothing that feels like this
Can't be but wonderfully right.
