In 1995 I wrote 11 poems (that I know of)

1995 was the year I finally "broke free" from my relationship with Pat after she began cheating on me by seeing another man, expecting me not to know. She still figured I would live with her and help raise her kids monetarily, and the lock was finally unlocked so that I could leave when I confronted her and she confessed. The poems on this page were written in the four months before the confession, as our relationship fell apart. The saddest, I think, is "A Large and Empty House". The poem "The Connection" wonders whether I am fated for lonliness forever, which of course isn't true anymore. I think I'll call these "the lost poems" since I didn't even remember writing them till I came upon the notebook a few years ago.

At life's respite
He sits
And wanders
