"The Bad Guy"

I'm shaking like a windblown leaf
Shivering with pain.
Head aching like a searing poker
has been pushed through my brain

"I'm not the Bad Guy" you scream
And I never believed you were
But if you want to leave
Then I do too.

I liked my life
I had no regrets
And what regrets I've had in my life with you
I've learned to cover up.
I've learned to cope with you.

Well maybe I haven't learned enough
As you close the door behind you.

I can only say I love you
And I never believed you were the
Bad Guy.

I need your love
It sounds like a cliche
My eyes are dry
But I'm crying.

I'm very cold
But I'm caring.
Even as you think I don't.

You need time to think.
I hope you think about me
Not about the petty things -
The things that get on your case
The things that get you upset

But the important things
Like how I want you with me
together

I guess you still can't be
With me together.

I guess you still need time to think.

I hope you think about me

I'll never forget you.

No matter what happens

Even if you're not happy
I've been happy to have you with me.
