"The Wild Horse Rides Away"

The feelings pour out of me
As does the rain from the sky
I don't want to feel I've lost you completely
Reason galloped hard into an empty field
And you left me alone

I never tried to tame you. I like
the wildness in your spirit
I never tried to take the upper hand
I never really thought I'd
fall in love again
And I never thought it would be
With you.

As soon as you corralled me
You left me and rode away
I'm here in the corral
Waiting for your return.

But I know the wild horse
never looks back
And I guess you can't tell me
how you feel.

Feelings run deep.
You always said that
My feelings are in the mud at
your feet
Washing away
