"Out of Hibernation"

Pure exhiliration
A rare feeling today, indeed.
Tireless passions always seemed
Relegated to the dust.
I feel anticipation
Can yesterday's promises be believed?
I feel today redeemed
As a dear one I can trust.

Bittersweet memories haunt me
Alone I was destined to be
Rarely has happiness mattered
Rarely has it existed for me, but
You're a soft, warm, haunting vision I see.
