"The Girl In Dreams"

If only I could meet the girl in dreams
I'd feel ecstatic, life would meet bold schemes.
A trifle nervous, heart a beating quick
I'd glimpse that face and mem'ry's glance
would stick,
The situation's not always what it seems,
And I have never
met
the girl in dreams.

If only life would sketch the girl in dreams
My love would quicken, light within me beams
A tender moment, then my heart explodes
I feel within a tender touch the
Power bodes
Imagination fills thought with reams & reams
And I have never
met
the girl in dreams

I dreamt last night of you without a face
The girl in dreams acquires a soft erase
Come to me, let me look into your eyes,
Cause there the power of the
cosmos lies.
Only this absence of your power deems
That through you I
finally meet
The girl in dreams.
