"Poem for Alyssa"

If a conversation from afar
Could signal romance, friendship, care
And two people, distant in space and time,
Connected thought, with souls in rhyme;
Then a spark ignited by a distant star,
Would make the girl in dreams alive.

We know not one another's face
But if a feeling emerges, through God's good grace
And we join together, as pollen in the air
Connected thought, two lives to share.
Indelible emotion, never to erase
A lasting car to you I give.
