Lapses of Confrontation

We were sitting here reading and absorbing poetry
Which to me is a very special experience
When the door opens
John comes in
offers a joint
And starts an argument
The argument goes on
The reading is destroyed
	(for the time being)
And John smokes his joint alone

Silence

A smell --- bad reefer
I sit here writing
It's funny I'm doing this thru people
talking and everything.....
Wow....
Friendship is being contested by
	two friends
		OVER MONEY
the argument ensues
I'm spouting directions from the sidelines
The argument ends
We all feel bad
	Except me
	I'm writing
	It's okay
The reading will begin again shortly
I know this...
