Exist In Time, Make Me Rhyme

I want to write a poem
That you will read
And it will make you believe
That what you believe is right -
And that I feel it is right

And so you'll want to come over
And throw your arms about me
And say
"Don't worry"
"Experience me now."

I don't want to make you mad
And I don't want to be mad at you
I feel, I really feel for you
No matter what I say
And I want you
to make love
to me today...
I know if I wanted I could
Be positive -
And win you with words
And sweet actions

But I've never met anyone so strong
Before
And you scare me -

You can hurt me without wanting to
You can make me feel
like the happiest person by
just knocking at my door.

I know I'm impossible
I strive for the untattainable
But I wanted
to attain you
just for tonight
and
Melanie
It's
never too late...
I will be listening for that
VW engine
and hope that you're
alone
and I want
to share
my
desire
with
you
And if you don't want me to -
Even though I'll feel so bad
(Like I do now)
I'll try to understand.

(I know you said Try is a bad word....Mike, I'll never stop loving you)
