Ago, Now

I remember when things were easier
You can also remember, my friend
We counted our days in inspired erratic ways
Never thinking for a moment it would end.

I didn't know then I would meet you now
I didn't care what I would feel
It's hard to relate and I shake with elate
That I found out and you became real

You are a poetess
Your words are your poems
Your feelings, your gestures, your life
I feel for you happy
I feel you as one
And I hope that you never have strife

I remember when things were simpler
You can also remember, my friend
We experienced samedays
but in divergent different ways
And now I want to experience
the love that you send
