"The Roommate"
Friday, February 13th, 2004 5:46 p.m.pst
(an exercise in spontaneous poetry 8)
Elation waits for him I hate
The roommate comes home soon
I can't relate the moment's late
the roommate comes home soon
Soon I'll retire to the other room
the roommate comes home soon
As the beers get poured and
he talks to the television more
As the howls increase
With no thought of surcease
I'm back in my "house"
In the middle of this place
With the doors closed
I can bear partial satisfaction in my face
Elation waits for him I hate
The roomate comes home soon.
