"The First Day of Spring"

Avian messengers awash in their song
The buds of March entangle with the mossy undergrowth
Outside, attuned to Gaia's ever evolving measures,
All life renews, repeating the songs of eternity,
In tune with the birdchoirs' ebullience
Waking into the azure blanket of atmosphere,
Adding atmosphere to elusive memory,
And breathing new life into freezing solid stasis

Love for mankind and his foibles
Rends my heart to shreds,
Feeling with the ecstasy of eventide
Even as I cry for humanity's sad circumstance

Spring Forth as you spring each solstice sweet
Bounding, binding the here and the past will meet
Renewing, reviewing the soulful refrain repeat
I am singing the song of the ages

Spring out, jump about in life's reverent refrain
Wash away icy memories and heal putrid pain
On this beautiful day no blight causes sad stain
And add glory and light to my pages

Spring bounce sing suffer no grief in the sun
Express the light heavenly play, breathe deep, run
Today is a day beauty bask, and have fun
And soothe any and all hackneyed rages

I hear the avian messengers, and open my reality to see they have
brought me the olive branch of peace,
Again,
And are imploring me to spread their message of rebirth
Spring forth
Spring out
Spring bounce
