"Sometime"
Sometime the time I spend seems so mundane and boring
Alleviating boredom with another boring time
I don't share wonder with a woman fair while pouring
Out my heart afire with radiant stories and bad rhyme
Sometime the time ago seems better suited to my mem'ry
Alleviating boredom with a page from long ago
I only share my thoughts with certain people dimly
But nothing really satisfies my molten lava flowI write the same song over and over
I eat the same meals alone and in silence
I try to feel happy convinced time's a solid lover
But the truth is boring sameness, alone and in silenceSometime the joy I feel is so heartfelt and rational
Spilling gracious wonder through the passages of time
If only I could share this wonder with somebody special
Would that be somewhat mystical, would that become a crime
Sometime the time just disappears and slips right down the drain
The days weeks years advance and no one is the wiser
I share my wonder with myself and face another day
I shout to Heaven as I step up on another riserI sing the same song again and again
I drive the same roads in oblivion
I try to feel happy although sometime living in pain
And tell myself my colors are bright blue and not obsidianSometime the time is slipping away unnoticed
Sometime in the future or the past
Sometime is another time, and I am standing steadfast
Waiting for forever, sometime bears the time to last
