2000
Was a very poetic year. It was the first (numbered) year of the
new millennium, and to celebrate, I had really immersed myself
in "cyberlife", accumulating email addresses and new
friends from my participation in "The Site Fights" for
which I had spun off ElectricPoetry from AllThingsMike.
I had gone on a second internet lovesearch
immediately after the first one failed. and in November '99 had
met Regina online. I visited her in New Mexico, where she lived,
early in the year, had moved her to California by May, and watched
her leave a couple of months later, when we realized we couldn't
make a go of it financially. The poem "Confessional"
details my feelings when she left. Some of the poems from this
year were on the ElectricPoetry site and some were on Regina's
site. I have added the poetry written especially for Regina
