Betty Rides theKitchen.
is a "happy accident" composite.
After setting one Betty on the counter waiting for her closeup,
I took this shot with the video camera as I was going outside.
Instead of "masking Betty, as usual, I took out the wall,
and painted in the AllThingsMike clouds. As I "create"
each of these composites, I can actually "feel" that
I'm getting better and better. The masking tool, and the other
tools can be infinitely scaled, down to pixel level,so the amount
of detail waiting in the wings is incredible to fathom. I daresay,
anything in the human imagination can be composited with the
right amount of images. No wonder there are 1 Million Clip Art
packages. The key to a good mask, and the ones on this page are
the best I've done, is to make sure your edge isn't "outside"
of the dark edge or light edge of your image, but inside by a
pixel. That way your image will be sharp against the background.
Also, the painting tools are very interesting to me, and I'm
very sure that I'll be able to "draw on the Pablo"
tablet. By the way, all these name brands shall have links, in
time. But for now, the images. copyright 2001 Michael F. Nyiri
